TechiePaws, Inc. Approves Application to Provide Technical Equipment to Rural Iowa Resident
Creston, Iowa -- TechiePaws, Inc., has recently approved a request from Scott Johnston of Creston, Iowa, to financially assist him in obtaining technical equipment. Johnston, a well-known Creston resident, is heavily involved in his church and participates actively in various community events.
The unit requested is a Mac Mini and small display produced by Apple computer. Johnston hopes to gain computer skills to aid him in volunteer work and in the future employment. Volunteers at TechiePaws, Inc. are attempting to raise the funds to obtain the equipment for Johnston. A variety of fundraisers and other efforts will be undertaken during the next several weeks. TechiePaws, Inc. Executive Director Jesse Bolinger says “Our hope is to have Scott’s equipment by the end of September.”

Hackman joins TechiePaws to aid in fundraising
Creston, Iowa -- Michelle Hackman, 17, of Greatneck, NY, has joined TechiePaws, Inc. to aid in fundraising. Hackman, the 2011 second runner up in the Intel National Science Competition held this month at the White House, brings a great deal of life experience to the organization.
TechiePaws, Inc. Executive Director says "I was watching the "Today Show" and saw a story about the Intel competition. “I quickly realized that the second runner up was totally blind, and knew this could be a great fit for our organization. Bolinger quickly did some internet searching and obtained Hackman’s cell phone number and began conversations regarding TechiePaws.
Hackman, who will attend Yale University in the fall semester of this year, completed a research project regarding cell phone withdrawal among teenagers. Additionally, she is assisting in fundraising for a school in Cambodia.
