The concept for TechiePaws started in late 2009 when Jesse Bolinger and Sindy Puckett had a conversation about Jesse’s desire to start a nonprofit, Jesse simply did not know what needs existed. After some thought, Sindy asked a question regarding the need for veterinary assistance for service animal users. In January 2010 Jesse, along with the help of several volunteers surveyed disabled individuals around the country to learn about their needs in regard to veterinary expenses and their need for funding of adaptive technology. The board of directors was formed using skilled individuals from the states of Iowa, Missouri and Ohio.
